Chief Executive of International Cricket Council (ICC) Haroon Lorgat has said that an upcoming verdict on spot-fixing allegations will not affect the World Cup.Lorgat said that the verdict on spot-fixing allegations against Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Aamer would not affect the World Cup and the construction work of the stadium would be completed soon. An anti-corruption tribunal has ended the trial of allegations of spot-fixing against the players last week with no decision and a verdict was deferred to Feb 5.The World Cup begins in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on Feb. 19 and Lorgat said the subcontinent will be ready, although five grounds have yet to be completed.
