President IJF assures Pakistan support for judo promotion

Summary Pak judo team which participated in the grand Slam returned home empty hands.

LAHORE (APP)- President, International Judo Federation, Marius L Vizer has assured Pakistan Judo Federations the full support of IJF for the development of the game.

He gave this assurance at a meeting with the President, Pakistan Judo Federation Col. Junaid Alam during the Grand Slam Judo Championship held in Tokyo, Japan.

“IFJ will extend cooperation to PJF in terms of promoting judo and grooming of players and technical officials,” said a spokesman of PJF while talking to APP here on Thursday. The world body chief congratulated Col Junaid on his election as President, PJF.

Meanwhile, the three members Pak judo team comprising Nadeem Akhtar, Qaisar Khan and Wajahat Sarwar which participated in the grand Slam returned home empty hands.
