Summary Pakistan's wrestling team managed to bag a total of 7 medals; 2 gold, 4 silvers and a bronze.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s medal-winning team of wrestlers who managed to bag 2 gold, 4 silvers and a bronze medal in the wrestling sports of South Asian Games (SAF) 2016 in India were given a hero’s welcome Thursday at Lahore’s airport on their return.

The ‘Pehlewans’ of the nation who performed exceptionally well in the SAF games held in Gauhati, India, were given a spectacular welcome with their supporters dancing to the sound of dhol and showering them with petals.

Speaking on the occasion, gold medallist Inam Butt stated that the team had given a splendid performance despite having limited resources. 

Talking to the media, Secretary Pakistan Wrestling Association Arshad Sattar stated that given better facilities and resources the national team had the potential to go a long way.

The winners danced with their supporters and captured their victorious moments by taking selfies.
