PCB acquires services of Ex London Police Commissioner Tariq Ghaffur for help in dealing with match-fixing allegations imposed on Pakistani cricket players.An important meeting regarding the matter was held in Pakistani High Commission in London attended by Chairman PCB Ijaz Butt, Pakistani High Commissioner Wajid Shams ul Hassan, legal advisor to PCB Tafazzul Rizvi, Ex London Police Commissioner Tariq Ghaffur and test cricketer Yasir Hameed, in which the strategies were discussed regarding Scotland Yards investigation and to deal with the spot-fixing allegations imposed on Pakistani cricketers. Yasir Hameed briefed the Ex commissioner about his recorded chat with the reporter of British News agency. They also discussed about serving a legal notice to the British News agency for allegedly recording the chat.Tariq Ghaffur had been one of the senior most officer of the British Police. He had filed in court against being treated with racial discrimination and later resigned from the post in protest.
