LHC issues notices to PCB over spot-fixing scandal

The Lahore High Court issued notices to the Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board and Sports Secretary for September 7 in a petition against alleged involvement of some cricketers in match-fixing. The petition was moved by Advocate Ishtiaq Ahmed. The petitioner argued that PCB and the Ministry of Sports should clarify their position. He added that the match-fixing allegations had tarnished the countrys image and the court must take actions against the players under Article 6, while their properties should also be seized.
