SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) - Tiger Woods confirmed Wednesday he plans to play in the US Open and British Open this year as he attempts to build on a top-20 finish at the Masters.

The former world number one, who did not qualify for this week s World Golf Championships Match Play in San Francisco, outlined details of his tournament schedule on Twitter.

"Going to be a busy summer," Woods wrote. "See you at the US Open, Open Champ, Memorial, Greenbrier and my Foundation s event, the Quicken Loans National."

His post made no mention of August s PGA Championship at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin.

Woods returned to golf at Augusta this week following a lengthy self-imposed break, finishing tied for 17th.

The 14-time major champion had already confirmed plans to play in the Players Championship next month.
