Dutch, Germans and Kiwis get closer to the semis

The sixth day of the Hockey World Cup, New Zealand defeated South Korea 2-1 while Netherlands defeated Canada 6-0. Defending champion Germany also inched closer to the semis after defeating Argentina 4-3.New Zealand managed to survive numerous South Korean attacks before pulling off a 2-1 upset victory to keep alive their semifinal hopes. Hot favorite team for the title Netherlands pumped in six goals in the second half to a weak Canadian side and virtually booked a place for the semifinal. Defending Champions Germany had to work hard to beat Argentina although in the end Germany scraped past a plucky Argentina 4-3 to brighten their chances for a semifinal slot.
