World No1, Swiss Roger Federer defeated Andy Murray and won his 16th grand slam title and fourth Australian Open tournament.Federer had to work hard to win the first two sets 6-3, 6-4. The third set went to the wire and was decided on tie break 7-6. Murray's defeat means that the 74-year-wait for a British male Grand Slam singles champion goes on.
