SYDNEY (AFP) - Spaniard Nicolas Almagro has pulled out of next week's Sydney International with an injury, organisers said on Wednesday.
World number 13 Almagro has suffered a shoulder injury ahead of the year's opening Australian Open Grand Slam starting in Melbourne on January 13.
"Unfortunately, Nicolas Almagro has been forced to pull out of Sydney with a shoulder injury," tournament director Craig Watson said.
"We wish him a speedy recovery and all the best for a successful Australian Open."
