CARDIFF (AFP) - Cardiff Blues centre Cory Allen is in line to make his Test debut this weekend after being named on Thursday in the starting side to play Argentina.

At the other end of the spectrum, prop Gethin Jenkins will become only the fourth player to win 100 Wales caps after Stephen Jones, Gareth Thomas and Martyn Williams when he takes the field at Cardiff s Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

Wales coach Warren Gatland made four changes to the side beaten 24-15 by South Africa in Cardiff last weekend.

Allen replaced the injured Jonathan Davies in midfield while fly-half Dan Biggar, Wales  No 10 during last season s Six Nations Championship-winning campaign, was selected to start in place of Rhys Priestland.

Up front, Rhodri Jones took over from injured veteran prop Adam Jones (calf) while Dan Lydiate was ruled out with an ankle problem.

Lydiate s injury led to a back-row reshuffle with Justin Tipuric starting at openside flanker and captain Sam Warburton moving to the blindside.

Wales will be out for revenge following last year s 26-12 defeat by the Pumas, who will arrive in Cardiff on the back of a 31-12 loss to England at Twickienham last weekend.

Wales s defeat by the Pumas was the start of a sequence that saw Gatland s side lose all four of their end-of-year internationals in 2012.

But the New Zealander, who oversaw the British and Irish Lions series win in Australia this year, was confident Wales would benefit from their bruising encounter with the Springboks.

"Last weekend will stand us in good stead in terms of physicality and intensity as Saturday will be a huge battle against Argentina," Gatland said.

"They will be looking for a repeat of last year and we will need to be more clinical to get the result we are aiming for."

Commenting on Jenkins -- for whom the 100th cap will be an early birthday present as he turns 33 on Sunday -- Gatland said: "Saturday will be a huge occasion for Gethin, and a fantastic milestone."

Gatland added: "For Cory, it will be his first taste of international rugby and for Rhodri a chance to gain more experience.
"Justin played very well off the bench last weekend, and Dan s injury gives him the chance to start the game.

"At fly-half, it was always our intention to give Dan (Biggar) and Rhys one game each at the start of the series, and it s Dan s chance this weekend."

The Wales bench includes former captain Ryan Jones and uncapped prop Samson Lee.
