DORTMUND (AP) - Borussia Dortmund has banned three "ultra" fan groups from away games in the Bundesliga and German Cup following trouble at the Ruhr derby last month.

The Bundesliga club says it has revoked the so-called away season tickets belonging to the groups "Desperados,"   Jubos" and "The Unity" indefinitely, "but at least to the end of the season," after consulting police and witnesses for the derby at Schalke s stadium on Oct. 26.

Kick-off was delayed when some supporters lit flares releasing thick yellow smoke in the stand, before throwing lit flares at Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller on the pitch, after he approached to ask them to desist.

Dortmund says investigations into the incidents are ongoing and anyone found to have committed offences will be issued with a stadium ban.
