Summary Team could not depart for Indonesia for second time because of dispute between PSB and FIA.
LAHORE (Online) - The three member Pakistan swimming team was unable to depart for Indonesia to participate in the Islamic Games for the second time because of a letter written by Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Islamic Games in Indonesia got underway but the sports officials in Pakistan could not sort out their differences.
The swimming team’s second attempt to board a plane for Indonesia was unsuccessful because of PSB’s letter to the FIA stating that any one unable to produce an NOC issued by them should not be allowed to travel for the mentioned event.
The 3 member swimming team was formed by Arif Hasan’s Pakistan Olympic Association which is not recognized by the government of Pakistan.
