Federer, the 2005-06 titlists, cruised past world No 86 Christophe Rochus of Belgium 6-1, 6-2 in 58 minutes, while Nadal beat Simone Bolelli of Italy 6-3, 6-3.Second seed Nadal, a winner of five tour-level titles including the Australian Open last year, won 72 percent of service points and save all three break points for victory in 89 minutes. Rafael Nadal beat Simone Bolelli with 6-3, 6-3. Nadal would face Potito Starace in the second round.
