WELLINGTON (AP) - The Auckland-based Blues have named a young and inexperienced side for next Tuesday s game against France.

The match is the first to be played between a New Zealand Super Rugby franchise and an international team.

The Blues will be missing six players Keven Mealamu, Steven Luatua, Piri Weepu, Rene Ranger, Francis Saili and Charles Piutau who are current members of the All Blacks test squad.

In their place, head coach John Kirwan has named a number of youngsters, including 20-year-old center Malakai Fekitoa and schoolboy Tevita Li, who is among the reserves.

Kirwan said the match was an opportunity to "really get those boys out there with no real pressure except playing a great international side,"
