Summary Sweden reached final of ice hockey world championship by beating Nordic rival Finland 3-0.

 

STOCKHOLM (AP) - Sweden reached the final of the ice hockey world championship by beating fellow co-host and Nordic rival Finland 3-0 on Saturday.


Dallas Stars forward Loui Eriksson scored Sweden s first two goals on power plays, with both assisted by twin brothers Henrik and Daniel Sedin.


Henrik Sedin then added Sweden s third into an empty net in the final minute.


Sweden s Jhonas Enroth made 30 saves for the shutout.


Sweden will play the winner of the second semifinal between the United States and Switzerland for the gold medal on Sunday.
