No Pakistani player in FIH Player of Year nominees

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has announced the nominated players for the 2009 Men's Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year. No Pakistani player is included in the list. FIH has nominated players from Spain, Australia, England, Holland, South Korea and Germany for Player of the Year award.Australias Jamie Dwyer and Christopher Zeller of Germany are strong candidates of Player of the Year award.Nominations for Men's Young Player of the Year 2009 - born in 1986 or later include Simon Child (NZL), Sergi Enrique (ESP), Tobias Hauke (GER), Ashley Jackson (ENG), Robert Kemperman (NED) and Eddie Ockenden (AUS). No Pakistani and Indian player is included in the list.
