KINGSTON (AP) - Usain Bolt has withdrawn from a meet in his native Jamaica this weekend because of a hamstring injury.

The Olympic 100-meter and 200-meter champion says he strained a hamstring during training last week. Bolt said in a statement Wednesday that it was only a grade one strain and he hopes to recover soon.

He was scheduled to race Saturday at Jamaica s National Stadium in Kingston. Jamaican teammates Yohan Blake and Asafa Powell withdrew earlier because of injuries.

U.S. sprinters Alyson Felix and Tyson Gay are still scheduled to compete.
