Summary Wallabies coach Robbie Deans chose to omit Cooper from the group of players
HAMILTON (AP) - Quade Cooper scored a try and kicked four conversions and a penalty to lead the Queensland Reds to a 31-23 win over the Chiefs in Super Rugby on Saturday, a day after the flyhalf was shut out of Australia s preparations for the British and Irish Lions tour.
Wallabies coach Robbie Deans chose to omit Cooper from the group of players he assembled this week to discuss preparations for the Lions tour, adding to a personal spat which developed when Cooper described the atmosphere in the Wallabies camp last season as "toxic."
