Summary Spain defeated Denmark 35-19 on Sunday to claim its second handball world championship title.
Spain dominated the final before its home fans, with its defense triggering a counterattack that overran Denmark.

Goalkeeper Arpad Sterbik also contributed for the champions, making 14 saves to spark its attack on the break.
Spain never trailed and was ahead 18-10 by halftime. Its 8-0 run near the start of the second half put the result beyond doubt.
"This is incredible, not in my wildest dreams would I have imagined a final like this," Spain player Victor Tomas said. "We weren t nervous at all and everything went perfectly, absolutely everything. Sterbik was unbelievable. The team deserved this."
Spain s first world championship came in 2005.
Denmark lost its third final, after also finishing runner-up in 1967 and 2011. No Denmark player scored more than four goals as the side lost 18 balls to Spain s 10.
