Wasim Akrams wife dies in Chennai

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram's wife Huma Wasim died in Apollo Hospital in Chennai on Sunday morning. Huma was suffering from sepsis (an inflammation of several tissues, including blood leading to kidney failure) and was admitted to Apollo Hospital Tuesday after developing complications mid-air while on her way to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore from Pakistan. Wasim was married to Huma 14 years ago and the couple has two sons from their marriage. A trained medical practitioner herself, Huma had a stint with some of the leading hospitals in Pakistan as a psychologist and a hypnotherapist.
