As a result of conflict between Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and Punjab Sports Board (PSB), National Games have been postponed for 90 days.National Games were due to be held from November 16 in Lahore.According to details, a high-level meeting of officials of Pakistan Olympic Association, Punjab Sports Board and other organisations was held on Thursday. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss matters relating to organisation of National Games.Officials of Punjab Sports Board were of the opinion that the Board itself will organize the National Games. However, it was mentioned that the Punjab government did not release funds for the games.According to the sources, a fund of Rs 50 million could not be released due to the tussle between Punjab Sports Board and Pakistan Olympic Association.In addition, Pakistan Olympic Association also contacted Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif but no progress could be made regarding organisation of National Games.
