Politics once again became a hurdle in the way of sports. Indian interior ministry will decide that legendry fast bowler Wasim Akram will become consultant of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) or not. According to BCCI, the IPL's governing council and franchises have been asked to restrain from hiring/recruiting players/officials/coaches from Pakistan, till further orders from the home ministry. As the ongoing differences between India and Pakistan are yet to be settled at the diplomatic level, the board does not want any IPL team to sign new players or coaches. Thats why the consultancy matter of Wasim Akram is also attached with the orders from home ministry. The Kolkata Knight Riders is in search of a coach to replace Australian John Buchanan and Akram's name had been doing the rounds alongside Richard Pybus, Dermott Reeve and Sandeep Patil.
