Despite the instructions by Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, issue of National Hockey Team players permanent jobs is yet to be solved. Captain Zeeshan Ashraf has appealed the PM to take note of the situation. Four months ago the premier had instructed that players temporary jobs be changed to permanent ones however no organization except PIA regularized the players. Eight players of the national team including Captain Zeeshan Ashraf, Akhter Ali, Tariq Aziz and Muhammad Rafiq represent the National Bank. The bank offered jobs of assistant cashier and cashier to the players on which the players decided to remain on contracts. Captain maintained that despite serving the national team for nine years, he was still without permanent job. Experienced forward Shakeel Abassi represents the SNGLP and still works on temporary job even after playing two Olympics.
