The family of a legendary U.S. college football coach says it strongly denies the findings of a special investigator who called Joe Paterno one of four top Penn State officials who covered up child sex abuse allegations.In a statement Monday, Paternos family says they vehemently disagree with the conclusions.Former FBI director Louis Freeh led the investigation that last week said the university officials covered up for former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky to avoid bad publicity.Sandusky was convicted last month on 45 counts.The scandal has shaken the reputation of one of the most lucrative and storied sports programs in the U.S., one that once seemed untouched by the ethics violations that follow many schools.
