Amir Khan to make ring return in July

Amir Khan is seeking an opponent after announcing he will fight in Anaheim, California, on July 7 following the cancellation of his rematch against drug cheat Lamont Peterson.Mexican veteran Erik Morales, who has won world titles at four different weights, is one possibility.Khan, 25, had hoped to win back his IBF and WBA light-welterweight belts against Peterson in Las Vegas last weekend but the bout was called off after the American tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.Khan is still waiting to hear whether his titles will be handed back after Peterson’s failed drugs test or whether he will have to fight for the vacant belts.
