Pakistan thrash Sri Lanka in T20

Twenty20 world champions Pakistan thrashed Sri Lanka by 52 runs to claim another Twenty20 victory against the islanders thanks to splendid performances by Shahid Afridi in batting, Saeed Ajmal and Rana Naveed in bowling. Pakistan scored 172 runs batting first after winning the toss in Premadasa stadium Colombo. Shahid Afridi played captains knock scoring 50 runs of 37 balls and was the top scorer. Imran Nazir scored 40 and Umer Akmal added 30 runs to the total. Abdul Razzaq and vice captain Misbah ul Haq remained not out for 25 and 5 runs respectively. Thilan Tushara claimed two wickets. Chasing a total of 173, Sri Lankan team were all out in 19th over for just 120 runs. Captain Sangakkara was the top scorer of the innings with 38 runs whereas Jayasuria and Mahela Jayawardene scored 23 and 12 respectively. Rana Naveed and Saeed Ajmal took 3 wickets each.
