Britains Nathan Cleverly has withdrawn from a scheduled defence of his World Boxing Organisation (WBO) light-heavyweight title in London next week because of a viral infection. The Welshman was due to face Kosovos Robin Krasniqi at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, April 28.However, Cleverly said Tuesday he had not been able to train for what would have been the fourth defence of his title.Ive been unable to train because Ive been laid up in bed with a viral infection and theres not enough time to make up what Ive missed in training to make sure Im fully fit, Cleverly explained.Ive taken the advice of my doctor and been told to fully rest before attempting to start training again.Im really disappointed because I was looking forward to being the first fighter to bring boxing back to the Royal Albert Hall in over a decade and the first of the century.Cleverlys last defence was a points win over Tommy Karpency of the United States in Cardiff on February 25.
