Kamalia: Police torture accused, arrest family after protest

Police officials in Kamalia took the law into their own hands tortured arrestees on Friday.

City Police Station officials arrested two people from Chichawatni road near Kamalia and tortured them at the scene. The family of the victims expressed their anger and protested. Later the police took the two victims to the police station. In another incident, Station Head Officer Sukheki publically abused and swore on people protesting at a hunger strike camp against the electricity load shedding. A few people were arrested but were released late night on Friday.
