Summary

The case of theft of CCTV cameras from different parts of Multan city is stuck up in the anti-corruption department whereas CCTV cameras are yet to be installed in 18 different shrines of Multan, including those of Shah Shams Tabrez, Bahauddin Zakriya Multani, Shah Rukn-e Alam, Musa Pak and Sultan Ahmed Qatal which have been declared sensitive by the authorities. However CCTV cameras have not been installed in at least 16 shrines, endangering the lives of hundreds of pilgrims. Inspector General Police Punjab Tariq Saleem Dogar had announced to install CCTV cameras in all the shrines and to restore the monitoring system in the cantonment police station but his words have not been translated into action as yet.
