A dacoit was killed in the firing exchange with residents of a surrounding village of Mian Channu city while his companion got arrested.In the village named Chak L-15, a firing exchange reportedly happened between three dacoits and local residents, in which a villager and a dacoit got killed on the spot. Police arrived the scene and managed to arrest one dacoit while the third dacoit managed to escape. Residents of the village picketed the police squad for three hours in an attempt to take the arrested dacoit in their own custody and do the justice on-spot. MPA Rana Babar then had to interfere to calm the villagers, after which they let the police officers take the dacoit with them.
