Summary
After the case of assault on a nurse in Jinnah Hospital on Tuesday, the nursing staff of Jinnah Hospital Karachi, on appeal of Nursing Council, observed complete strike today and strongly demanded stern action against the culprit, Dr. Abdul Jabbar. Nurses have demanded to force out doctors living illegally in Jinnah Hospital and they demanded search operation in Doctors Mess and MSI Institute. Teams have been formed to investigate the issue. Police had arrested former Medico Legal Officer (MLO) Dr. Abdul Jabbar Memon for being the culprit. According to Hospital administrative sources, they received the information on Tuesday evening at 1700 hrs, that a nurse was lying unconscious in doctors mess No. 96, and who was immediately shifted to emergency ward for treatment, where she was recognized as a third year nursing student in Jinnah Hospital and was known to have jumped from the roof of Dr. Memons flat.
