A farmer was murdered in a village of Hafizabad on monetary dispute with the Chaudhry of the village. The relatives of the victims were subjected to torture by police when they went to the Police Station for registering a case. The police also gave an ultimatum to the relatives of the victims to leave the village in 24 hours.Muhammad Anwar, a resident of Jaltan village and father of four was abducted two weeks ago by the sons of the Chaudhry Munsab Ali. He died following severe torture by his abductors. The news of the murder was made public by Chaudhrys wife. Police has just registered a case for abduction instead of murder. The relatives of Anwar protested and while speaking to Dunya News they demanded Chief Justice of Pakistan and Punjab Chief Minister to take actions against the perpetrators. The Chaudhry declined to talk while the Pinid Bahtiyan inspector said that its premature to comment on the case.
