A prisoner died while ten others injured during a clash between the prisoners and jail administration at Khaipur Central Jail, Dunya News reported today.The incident occurred as the jail administration was busy in search operation in the jail. The inmates of the said jail have been protesting for the last three days. Today, when the police initiated the search operation in the jail, the captives scaled the jail roof and torched the jail belongings. The situation triggered a clash between the inmates and the police.Upon this, the police resorted to firing and tear gas shelling which claimed a prisoner and injured 10 others. The injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital while heavy contingents of police have been called in from across the province to get the situation under control.
