A strike by public transport operators against the recent price hike of petroleum products enters into fourth day.People are facing difficulties due to the strike and many people are stranded at bus stops due to inadequate public transport. Public transporters are demanding for tax free diesel to be supplied for their operations along with payment of subsidy for the last three years. Transporters also demanded that the fares of routes must be determined in accordance with the price of diesel. A delegation of the transport operators would meet the provincial Transport Minister Mujtabi Shujaa Rahman later in the day.The transport operators also held a protest rally found from Railway Station. The transporters said that price hike is like their economic murder.
