Dry weather spell finally comes to an end as rains lashes upper parts of the country, while the rain system is entering Punjab today.Mercury dropped in Peshawar, Mardan, Charsaddah, Swat, Nowshehra, Dir Bala, Bajaur Agency and Khyber owing to rains. Mountains hit by snowfall, which increased cold in these areas. Swat, Malakand, Batgram, Muzaffarabad and other parts of the country received light showers on Thursday morning. Heavy rain hit Quetta which would likely to continue till tonight.According to Met Office, the rain system has entered Punjab and downpour is likely in Lahore and other areas of Punjab in the next 24 hours, which would also finish the fog. The different parts of Azad Kashmir including Muzaffarabad were facing water shortage due to lack of rains. The current rain spell would likely leave positive impact on wheat harvest in Malakand, Batgram and Azad Kashmir.
