Two girls in Rajanpur forced to get married
Forced marriage of two girls occurred in Rajanpur on Friday.
RAJANPUR: The age of one girl is 11 while the other girl is 15-year-old. They were made ‘vani’ in Kotla Ahmed area of the city.
Vani is a tribal custom in which girls are forced to marry members of different tribes as a result of settlement of feuds between conflicting clans.
According to police, a man namely Chacha Ghulam Mustafa got married to a girl and in the return; the two male relatives of the girl got married with above mentioned girls. The bridegroom are 16 and 17 years old respectively.
Until last reports received, police also said that no action was taken against the incident.
