Summary The CID Police arrested a leader of banned religious outfit from Patel Para area of Karachi.
The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Karachi police on Wednesday disclosed arrest of Hafiz Qasim Rasheed, Amer of Sindh chapter of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.Addressing a press conference, Additional IG CID Ghulam Shabbir said that the accused was arrested from Patel Para area of the metropolis.He said that Rasheed, carrying head money of Rs 500,000, was involved in the targeted killings of doctors, lawyers and politicians.The AIG said that the the accused was involved in 100 targeted killings, adding that a pistol, Kalashnikov and a hand grenade were recovered from his custody. He said that the accused has conceded his involvement in the targeted killings.
