Summary The chief of a banned outfit along with his seven associates was arrested in Karachi on Friday.
Speaking to a news conference, DIG CID Kamran Fazal said that the police launched search operation in different areas of the city and arrested seven miscreants including local chief of a banned outfit.He said the accused were planning terrorist attacks in some areas of the city.According to the DIG, the accused included Muhammad Ilyas alias Daurki Shah, Fahim-ul-Haq alias Bahari, Muhammad Tahir alias Mota, Muhammad Abid, Muhammad Arif, Inayatullah alias Maya and Muhammad Rafique alias Inaam.A large quantity of explosives including suicide vests were recovered from the accused.Kamran Fazal further told that the accused were involved in target killing and murder of lawyers while they were planning to attack central jail and Ghulam Abbas School.Police started investigation.
