Summary PML-F chief Pir Pagara has directed his party members to submit resignations to the Sindh Governor.
President Functional League, Pir Pagara has directed provincial ministers and advisors hailing from the party to submit their resignations to the Governor of Sindh.According to the sources, Pir Pagara was of the view that there has been no change in his stance regarding the local government ordinance, which implies that the MPAs from functional league will sit on the opposition benches in the Sindh assembly.The allies of Pakistan People’s Party in Sindh assembly, including the Functional League, PML-Q, National People’s Party and Awami National Party, had opposed the People’s Local Government Ordinance after its promulgation. The decision for resignations has been made in rejection of the ordinance.General Secretary of the Sindh chapter of Functional League, Imtiaz Sheikh has expressed the opinion that the provincial ministers and advisors from Functional League would act upon the directives of the party leader.In the first stage, provincial ministers including Jam Madad Ali and Dr Rafiq and advisors including, Imtiaz Sheikh and Imam-ud-Din would submit their resignations, he maintained.According to the spokesperson Functional League, the governor refused to accept resignations of members of the party in addition to those from National People’s Party and PML-Q.It is worth mentioning here that the provincial ministers from the abovementioned parties had immediately presented their resignations before Chief Minister of Sindh, however, in the absence of any action regarding acceptance or rejection of the resignations, President of Functional League, Pir Pagara directed Imtiaz Sheikh to immediately hand over the resignations to the Sindh governor.
