Summary A tribal jirga in Bashband area of Manglor declared a girl wani on Saturday.
As per details, the jirga charged Muhammad Khan, 17, with having an illicit affair and finalised his nikah with a 35-year-old woman.Also, declared Muhammad Khan’s sister Nayezat, 12, wani and ordered her marriage with Taj Muhammad.Family of the girl lodged a protest against jirga’s decision and filed a request in sessions court to seek protection.Later, DCO Swat ordered the local police and DOR to investigate the incident.
