Summary An awareness campaign would be launched in the capital to ensure implementation of traffic laws.
In a meeting held under the chairmanship of SSP Traffic Dr Moin Masood, consensus was reached to start the campaign in order to make the federal capital a city with lesser rate of road accidents and to lessen the violation of traffic rules.For this purpose, the use of fake number plates, black windowpanes, and one-wheeling will be checked, Dr Moin Masood said.Special attention will be paid to discourage the riders from riding motorbikes without silencers, he added.SSP Traffic Dr Moin Masood said radar-cameras would be used more effectively in order to stop over-speeding.The implementation of such steps will also promote civic sense among the public.
