Summary Water supply to Multan areas has been suspended due to sewerage system failure.
Different areas in Multan including Lohari Gate, Gulgasht Colony, Samanabad, Hummayun Road, Ahsanabad, and Chowk Rasheed were inundated due to sewerage system failure.Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) instead of fixing the sewerage problem, suspended the water supply to the areas.Residents complaint against shortage of water during sehri hours and protested against the concerned authorities.On the other hand, WASA official said that there was no other option to control the spewing sewage water.He added that Rs 200 million were sought from government for the project which have not been allocated yet.
