Summary A leader of Accountant General Office Union was shot dead in Islampura area of the city on Thursday.
According to police sources, 55-year-old Bux Elahi was standing with his son near a petrol pump when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him, police said adding that he was dead on the spot.Soon after the incident, his family members and colleagues gathered and staged a protest against the murder.They also protested at Mayo Hospital.The family of deceased told that he was receiving threats since last few days.It is to be mentioned here that the employees of the AG office union are on the strike for an increase in their salaries.
