Summary Dunya News has received the documents regarding corruption in scholarships of religious madrassas.
Corruption in scholarships provided from Zakat Fund to religious madrassas has been exposed in Gujranwala.The inspection of the lists by the Zakat Department revealed that corruption worth millions of rupees had been committed after registering fake names in the scholarship funds issued to Jamia Rehmania Taleemul-Quran-Abinat and Jamia Riaz-ul-Janna.The District Zakat Officer provided evidences of the corruption after which he was transferred instead of taking action against the responsible for the misappropriation.However, implementation on transfer order has been suspended on a High Court order till the completion of inquiry.
