Summary Police arrested a man who was on way to Sahiwal for getting married.
According to details wedding procession of Shafique, a resident of Shakargarh, was on way to Sahiwal when police stopped the convoy at exit check-post near Thokar Niaz Beig in Lahore and arrested Shafique.According to police Shafique was an absconder in a murder case in 2003.The participants of the wedding procession protested against the arrest, blocked the road near Chohng Police Station and shouted slogans against the police.In the meantime, the bride’s family in Sahiwal kept contacting the wedding guests about their arrival. The police shifted the groom to some unknown place for investigation.
