Summary Peshawar Central Prison has been exempted from loadshedding due to security concerns
.According to reliable sources, the provincial government had sent its recommendation to PESCO seeking exemption from the power outage and the PEPCO has allowed the exemption to the Jail.Earlier, the provincial government had informed the federal government about the possible threats to the life of Dr Shakeel Afridi but the Center was not keen to shift Dr. Afridi from Peshawar jail to some other place.Intelligence agencies had also warned the government that Dr Afridi imprisonment in Peshawar jail was dangerous with regard to security concerns. So the agencies asked for him to be shifted to a safe and secure location.
