Summary A mother and her four-year-old daughter were attacked with acid here on Wednesday.
Tahira who had been living alone with her two children for the last several years as her husband Muhammad Khalid had been living in the US.Tahira’s neighbour Javed was in love with her and was advocating that she file for divorce which her parents were not agreeing to.On Wednesday when Tahira was on her way to the local market with her daughter, Javed along with two accomplices threw acid at them. Tahir’a arms were burnt in the attack while her daughter’s stomach was badly burnt.The mother and daughter were shifted to the local hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made in connection with this incident.
