Police arrest eight desperate bandits in RY Khan's katcha operation

Dozens of hideouts of kidnappers and robbers have been destroyed.
RAHIM YAR KHAN (Dunya News) - Police on Tuesday arrested eight robbers during the ongoing operation in katcha area of south Punjab.
Operation against criminals in katcha area continues for the 17th day consecutive day, during which, under a successful strategy, the police conducted a large-scale targeted operation against the Dalani and Imrani gangs. Eight robbers were arrested after a fierce exchange of fire.
Three Kalashnikovs, repeaters, several magazines and hundreds of bullets were recovered from the arrested suspects.
Police said Dalani and Imrani gang had made a secret hideout from where they were committing serious crimes.
In the operation, three robbers have been killed and more than 28 have been arrested so far, while a large number of weapons including rocket launchers, long machine guns, hand grenades, short machine guns, bullets and ammunition of different bores have been recovered from the secret hideouts of the criminal elements.
Dozens of hideouts of kidnappers and robbers have been destroyed and police camps have been established for maintaining the rule of law.
RPO Bahawalpur Rai Babar Saeed is supervising the operation, while DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal is commanding the police force.
