Rioting: JIT again summons Imran Khan, other PTI leaders

Asad Umar has recorded his statement before the JIT
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on Friday summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and other leaders for the third time for investigation into cases against the PTI leaders in Punjab.
They have been directed to appear before the JIT at 12 noon. Asad Umar is the only PTI leader to have recorded his statement before the team.
Apart from Imran Khan, the PTI leaders who have been summoned by the JIT for the third time are Fawad Chaudhry, Hammad Azhar, Ejaz Chaudhary, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, Farrukh Habib, Mian Mehmoodur Rashid, Mian Aslam Iqbal and Dr Yasmin Rashid.
The JIT is investigating the cases of rioting, vandalism and violence against police registered against the PTI leaders and workers at various police stations.
Earlier, it had summoned the PTI leaders two days ago but none of them turned up.
