LAHORE (Dunya News) - Diana, an Azerbaijani woman involved in an alleged rape case, has released a video statement declaring suspect Ahmad Tanveer innocent and appealing for the case to be closed.
In her video statement, Diana said Ahmad Tanveer had not sexually assaulted her. She added that he had also returned her mobile phone and belongings.
Meanwhile, police said two suspects had been arrested in connection with the alleged rape case involving the Azerbaijani woman.
Ahmad Tanveer, who had obtained pre-arrest bail, appeared before a court on Friday.
According to police, the suspect escaped with the help of his associates. However, Ahmad Tanveer’s associates claimed that investigative agencies had arrested him.
